Why is the excavator unable to walk?

Jan 22, 2024

The excavator's inability to move may be due to the following reasons:

1. The central rotary joint is damaged. Because of the structural characteristics and operating characteristics of the intermediate rotary joint, the oil seal in the intermediate rotary joint is always damaged. When the hydraulic oil is dirty, the oil seal, the shell of the central rotary joint, and the spindle are damaged at the same time. When the machine is running The leakage of pressure oil on one side causes the speed of the traveling motors on both sides to be different, causing the machine to deviate in the direction of travel.

Solution: When replacing the oil on the center rotary joint, replace the hydraulic oil and filter element at the same time.

2. The high-pressure chamber and low-pressure chamber of the traveling control valve are connected. The control valve is a special control valve used to operate and control the vehicle gearbox. One side is connected to the gearbox, and the other side is connected to the vehicle transmission control lever to operate the valve body and control the gearbox.

Solution: Replace the high-pressure chamber and low-pressure chamber of the excavator travel control valve, and replace the oil seal. If the groove is damaged, replace the damaged parts.

3. The overload pressure of the travel valve in the main valve of the excavator is too low or the valve stem is stuck. This will cause the travel valve stem to be unable to open, and ultimately lead to inability to travel.

Solution: You can output the corresponding control oil pressure according to the length of the control stroke of the operating handle, so that the main control valve has a corresponding movement amount, thereby controlling the speed of the working device, and then adjust the travel valve pressure in the main valve or grind the valve stem. If it is stuck, If it is dead, check the pressure of the traveling proportional valve again.

4. The zero position of the actuator is set incorrectly and does not reach the fully closed position of the valve, resulting in serious internal leakage of the travel control valve, resulting in low travel servo pressure.

Solution: 1) Manually close the valve (must confirm that the valve is completely closed);

               2) Manually close the valve again, whichever is better;
