20Y-70-01240 H Connecting Rod | Usage Instructions + Maintenance Tips

Normal operating conditions and limitations

√ Applicable scenarios
Suitable for conventional excavation operations such as earthwork, sand and stone transportation, and infrastructure excavation; the forging model can withstand moderate mining and rock crushing operations.
× Prohibited conditions
1. It is strictly prohibited to forcefully strike rocks or heavy objects with the side of the bucket. The H-link rod is prone to deformation and cracking under lateral impact;
2. It is forbidden to forcibly pry and dig huge rocks beyond the rated load. Exceeding the rated load will cause cracks in the link rod body and elongation of the hole position;
3. Do not continuously operate without lubrication of the pin shaft. It will quickly wear out the link rod hole;
4. It is strictly prohibited to modify, weld, or heat repair deformed link rods. High temperature will damage the heat treatment properties of the steel and create a risk of fracture.

Daily Maintenance Guidelines

1. Lubrication and Maintenance (Most Important) Before each start-up and every 8 hours of operation: Add grease to the connecting rod pin shaft to ensure an oil film is formed between the pin shaft and the bushing, reducing friction and wear; Lack of grease for a long time → Dry grinding inside the hole → The connecting rod hole will rapidly become larger and the gap will increase, causing the bucket to shake.
2. Regular Appearance Inspection
Daily Patrol: Check the connecting rod body for cracks, peeling paint, and deformation; Focus on the areas around the hole positions (stress concentration areas, where cracking is most likely to occur)
Weekly Inspection: Shake the bucket to determine the gap of the pin shaft; If the gap is too large, it should be repaired promptly, do not wait until the hole is worn out before replacing it
During rainy season / operations near the sea: After the operation, clean the mud and sand, reapply anti-rust oil on the surface to prevent rusting, and regular rust prevention is also required for maritime storage.
3. Synchronous Maintenance of Accessories H Connecting Rod, Pin Shaft, and Bushing form a set of cooperating components. After the bushing wears out, do not replace the bushing alone; Continued use will directly wear the connecting rod hole; It is recommended to conduct a comprehensive inspection during maintenance and replace them together as needed to maximize the service life of the connecting rod.
4. Storage Maintenance (Inventory / Idle) For idle storage, apply anti-rust oil on the surface to avoid stacking in a damp environment; Do not directly drop and press hard to avoid磕碰变形; For long-term overseas storage, prepare for moisture-proof packaging.

Fault Warning

The following phenomena indicate that the connecting rod needs to be repaired or replaced:
1. The bucket operation is noticeably shaky and there is a knocking sound;
2. The clearance of the connecting rod hole has increased, and the pin shaft is loose;
3. Cracks or bending deformations appear on the surface of the connecting rod;
4. The power of the excavation operation decreases and the movements become sluggish.

Reference for service life

Normal earthwork conditions: Under normal maintenance, it can last up to 3000 - 6000 hours.
Mining heavy-duty conditions: With severe impacts, the lifespan is shortened to 1000 - 3000 hours.
The lifespan is greatly affected by the type of operation, operating habits, and whether the lubrication is adequate. It is only for customer reference and not as a guarantee basis.

Installation Instructions

1. Before installation, clean the dirt, sand and burrs on the connecting rod hole and pin shaft surface.
2. After installation is completed, add sufficient lubricating grease and conduct a trial run to confirm there is no jamming.
3. After installation is finished, perform a no-load test operation first, then put it into heavy-load operation.
4. During installation, check the part number 20Y-70-01240 and confirm the model PC200-7/8 series to avoid incorrect installation.
