208-06-71140 Hydraulic Components Usage and Maintenance Instructions

Applicable brands and devices
208-06-71140 is an accessory for the hydraulic system of excavators. It is compatible with the Komatsu series of excavators and is mainly used for the hydraulic circuit of medium and large-tonnage excavators.
Key points for correct usage
1. Pre-installation inspection: Open the box and check if the accessories have any scratches, cracks or thread damages; Clean the hydraulic pipe interfaces to prevent sand and metal debris from entering the hydraulic oil circuit.
2. Installation standards: Install by professional mechanical engineering maintenance technicians; It is recommended to replace the sealing parts and gaskets simultaneously. The installation torque should strictly follow the standards in the equipment maintenance manual. Do not forcefully twist or press.
3. Startup operation: After assembly, first drain the air in the oil circuit; In a cold machine environment, start at idle speed for preheating and do not directly operate at full load.
4. Operation observation: For the first startup, pay attention to any abnormal sounds, vibrations, or oil leakage; If there is unstable oil pressure, oil leakage, or abnormal noise, immediately stop the machine for maintenance. Do not continue construction with a faulty machine.
5. Prohibit overpressure: Do not privately increase the pressure of the hydraulic system. Long-term overloading operation will accelerate component wear and significantly shorten the service life.

Maintenance and Repair Recommendations
1. Daily inspection: Before operation, check if there is any oil leakage at the connection point of the component, and observe the hydraulic oil level and color; if the oil turns white and emulsified, or becomes turbid and black, handle it promptly.
2. Oil management: Use the anti-wear hydraulic oil specified by the equipment manufacturer. Do not mix different brands of hydraulic oil; keep the hydraulic oil clean. Oil contamination is the primary cause of damage to hydraulic components.
3. Filter element regular replacement: Replace the hydraulic return filter element and suction filter element according to the equipment's working cycle. For construction sites with more dust, shorten the replacement period.
4. Regular inspection: Conduct a comprehensive inspection every 250 to 500 working hours to check for aging and loosening of the seals; pay attention to the hydraulic oil temperature in high-temperature conditions, and keep it within 80°C as much as possible.
5. Long-term storage: When the equipment is idle for a long time, take measures to protect against rust; block the interfaces to prevent dust and water vapor from entering the components.
Industry Tip
Hydraulic components are precision pressure-bearing parts. Once the oil is contaminated or the installation is improper, they are prone to rapid damage. When choosing replacement parts, it is essential to first check the part number, as the size and tolerance match of the components directly affect the stability of the entire machine's operation. After the components arrive, they should be properly stored in a dry environment to prevent dampness and rust.
