198-12-41180 Shock Absorbing Pad (For Komatsu Bulldozers Only)
I. Name Explanation: Rubber Sheet / Rubber Pad / Shock Absorbing Pad are interchangeable terms
Shock Absorbing Pad: Named by its function. Its core functions include buffering, vibration isolation and vibration reduction of equipment; this is the most widely used term in industry sales and maintenance. Rubber Pad / Rubber Sheet: Named based on material and appearance. Its main elastic material is rubber, and it features a flat thin-plate shape.
All three terms refer to the same spare part. The unified name for foreign trade documents: Shock Absorbing Rubber Pad

II. Applicable Models
Komatsu D275 and D375 bulldozers. It serves as a shock-absorbing and buffering component for vehicle frames and cab bases. It isolates violent vibration transmitted from engines and traveling mechanisms, protects the vehicle frame and reduces cab shaking during operation.
III. Material Structure (Composite of Rubber & Steel Plates)
Elastic Layer: Formulated with natural rubber (NR), Shore A hardness 60~65. It delivers high elasticity, resistance to repeated compression fatigue, and moderate tolerance to engine oil and dust. Reinforcement Layer: Multiple layers of cold-rolled thin steel plates. The steel plates undergo degreasing and phosphating treatment, then integrated with rubber via high-temperature vulcanization.
Steel plates bear loads and restrain excessive deformation of rubber, while rubber absorbs shocks and vibrations. The finished product resists collapse and delamination effectively.

IV. Production Process
Mix rubber raw materials through internal mixing and calender into rubber sheets.
Cut steel plates and conduct pre-treatment including degreasing and phosphating.
Stack rubber sheets and steel plates alternately and place them into dedicated molds.
Integrally vulcanize and shape under high temperature and pressure using a plate vulcanizer.
Trim flash, punch mounting holes, conduct mechanical performance tests to obtain finished products.
Standard Original Material Composition (Rubber-Steel Composite)
Main Rubber Formula (Base Rubber: Natural Rubber NR) Base rubber: Natural rubber features high elasticity, excellent resistance to repeated compression fatigue, no hardening at low temperatures, and strong bonding strength with steel plates. Reinforcing filler: Carbon black for improved tensile strength, tear resistance and wear resistance. Vulcanization system: Zinc oxide, stearic acid and sulfur vulcanizing agent to control rubber hardness at 60~65 Shore A. Protective additives: Anti-aging agents and antioxidants to resist aging caused by engine oil, dust and sunlight, extending service life of bulldozers under harsh working conditions. Softening filler oil: Adjust rubber hardness and prevent permanent collapse under heavy loads.
Built-in Reinforcing Interlayers (Core Composite Structure) Multiple layers of cold-rolled thin steel plates are arranged as internal interlayers, which are pre-treated via degreasing and phosphating. Steel plates bear loads and limit excessive rubber deformation, while rubber provides shock absorption and buffering. The two materials are integrally molded through high-temperature vulcanization without delamination.
Auxiliary Surface Materials The contact surface of steel plates is primed with phosphating to boost rubber adhesion. No extra coating is applied on the outer rubber surface, retaining the original vulcanized rubber finish.
